Artists for Healing

ARTISTS FOR HEALING was founded by singer-songwriter Brandon Schott in July 2008. Inspired by the incredible generocity of spirit he witnessed while battling a rare form of cancer in the Winter of 2007, Brandon created Artists For Healing as a musical outreach program for local artists to pull together to celebrate and champion causes close to their hearts (through fundraisers, hospital or corporate appearances). "This is my way of applying music and art towards an active spiritual & musical therapy - and to provide a healing presence in our world. We can all play a part, however small it may be," Brandon believes.

TURNING TOWARD THE SUN:
AN EVENING OF MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT TO BENEFIT
THE MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION OF GREATER LOS ANGELES

LOCAL MUSICIANS AND ENTERTAINERS UNITE FOR A GREAT CAUSE!

LOS ANGELES (AUGUST 7, 2008) – ARTISTS FOR HEALING together with GOLDEN STATE MUSIC and POPDOSE.COM will be helping to fulfill wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions by hosting Turning Toward the Sun: An Evening of Music and Entertainment at Safari Sam’s (5214 W Sunset Blvd, Hollywood CA) on September 14, 2008 at 7:30PM. Tickets will be $10 dollars and 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles.

The variety show themed event will feature performances by local bands Moving Picture Show, Just Off Turner & Brandon Schott (who will be joined by a string quartet for this exclusive engagement), as well as a silent auction, door prizes, a special presentation by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles, and other special attractions!

“I recently went through a serious life-threatening medical journey myself, and the amount of love and support I received during that critical time was beautifully overwhelming,” said singer-songwriter Brandon Schott, one of the event’s organizers and the founder of Artists for Healing. “In creating the organization Artists for Healing, and pulling together this event – I’m taking a small first step towards repaying some of that karma back. My dream is to raise enough money with our efforts here to help the foundation make it a little easier for a child and their family in the Los Angeles area going through a rough time.”

For tickets to this event or more information visit artistsforhealing.net or contact Winnie Jow at winnie@brandonschott.com or 818-415-6602.
